Merle Morgan Key, 72, of Livingston died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Conroe Regional Medical Center. Merle was born April 20, 1938, in El Campo, Texas to Morgan A. and Louise (Myers) Key. A Livingston resident for fifteen years, he lived in Warren many years and was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of Livingston; children, Morgan Lynn Key of Bay City, Donna Key Wright of Houston, Kelly Key of Honey Island, Galen Key of Beaumont, Joan Brandt of Spring, Stanley Key of Honey Island, and Elizabeth Leslie of Beaumont; sisters, Bernice Gore of Kountze and Nelda Herring of Vidor; brothers, Max Kliem of Batson and Herbert Kliem of Houston; step-children, Oscar Weakley, Sherry Bowen, Sarah Weakley, and Samuel Weakley; and numerous grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
