Jane Speer Anderson

Jane Speer Anderson, 74, of Port Neches died December 27, 2010 at her residence. Born September 27, 1936 in Gorman, Texas and resident for the majority of her life in Houston, Mrs. Anderson was a teacher for thirty-five years with the Houston Independent School District.
Mrs. Anderson was a talkative person with a good sense of humor. She liked to travel and loved children, dogs, and her grandchildren. Reading Agatha Christie mystery books and playing bridge were her hobbies.
She is survived by her children, Robert Lee Anderson, Jr. and his wife Dena Gutterman of Portland, Oregon, Michael David Anderson and his wife Cheryl of Fairfax, Virginia, and Matty Moore Anderson and Alicia Goad Anderson of Beech Grove, Indiana; sisters, Ann Courtney and her husband Harley of Arlington and Kay Thames of Port Neches; and grandchildren, Casey Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Emily Anderson, and Milo Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Robert Lee Anderson.
A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Broussard’s Chapel, 505 12th Street, Nederland.
