Virginia Ferguson, 82, of LaBelle, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 Arboretum Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center of Winnie.
She was born September 6, 1928, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Robert and Lily McClelland, but had been a resident of the LaBelle area for many years. Virginia was the former owner of Pine Tree Lodge and she and her late husband, James Ferguson, were instrumental in the foundation of the LaBelle Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include her son, Richard Ferguson of Winnie; daughter, Renee Ferguson of LaBelle; brother, Robert McClelland of Anahuac; three grandchildren, Lisa Garner, Mary Ann Ferguson, and Travis Ferguson; and one great-grandchild, August Garner.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
