Ricky Landry
March 17, 1971 - November 19, 2010

Richard P. “Ricky” Landry, 39, of Fannett, passed away on November 19, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Ricky was born on March 17, 1971, in Lake Charles, Louisiana and lived most of his life in the Fannett area.   

 

Ricky is survived by his wife, Tammy Powell Landry;  daughters, Chandler Landry and Macey Rakestraw of Fannett; father, Clarence “T-Boy” Landry, Jr. and his wife Robin of Sulphur, Louisiana; stepmother, Charlotte Landry David and her husband Mitch of Lake Charles, Louisiana; stepmother, Rhonda (Candy) Landry of Beaumont; brothers, Kyle Landry and his wife Shelly of Sulphur, Louisiana and Paul Landry of Nederland; sisters, Carol Landry Gary and her husband John of Vinton, Louisiana, Cindy Fontenot and her husband Larry of Port Neches, Melissa Vaughn and her husband Jason of Groves, Laynie DeSerrano and her husband Scott of Nederland, and Amy Landry of Boulder, Colorado; grandfather, Clarence Landry, Sr. of Sulphur, Louisiana; grandmother, Maxine West of Lake Charles, Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a large host of other relatives and friends. 

 

 Ricky is preceded in death by his mother, Terese (Terry) Landry; stepfather, John P. Landry, Sr.; and grandmother, Dorothy Landry.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Rd., Fannett with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A Rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010, with a gathering of his family and friends to follow at Broussard’s.

 

Ricky will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, a loving son and brother, a caring friend and a brave man with a smile for everyone. He and Tammy were fortunate to be surrounded by a group of wonderful friends and family who supported and helped them through the last two years and for whom Tammy, Macey and Chandler wish to express their deepest gratitude and love.
