Lance Austin Pafford, 23, of Silsbee, peacefully passed away in his sleep Friday, November 12, 2010. He was born April 6, 1987, in Poughkeepsie, New York to parents, D.J. and Allen Pafford.
Lance graduated from Lumberton High School in 2005. He attended Parkway Life Church of Lumberton and worked with his father as a carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, D.J. and Allen Pafford; brothers, Lonnie Pafford of Lumberton, Jamie Pafford and his wife Carrie of Tallahassee, Florida, Michael Pafford and his wife Amy and Terry Pafford and his wife Carrie all of Crawfordville, Florida; beloved sister, Vanessa Pafford of Silsbee; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lance demonstrated the joys of life in every way possible. No matter the circumstances he always had a positive outlook on life and a smile on his face. On Father’s Day of 2010, he was involved in a serious car accident. Despite suffering many injuries, his faith in God and strong will to survive kept him alive. Lance was very passionate about the outdoors, and loved to be surrounded by friends and family as often as possible. His unforgettable smile and tender heart toward God and others will be greatly missed.
His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at The Apostolic Church, 3333 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Anthony Bryan, Curtis Bloodsworth, Andrew Vaughan, Lathan Treadway, David Piel, Todd Baxter and Garett Thibodeaux serving as pallbearers. Jason Lamey and Aaron West will serve as honorary pallbearers. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, at Broussard’s.
