Frank E. “Rags” Ragsdale, 84, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Born November 26, 1925, in Coleman to Charlsey Eileen Wester and James Ezra Ragsdale; Frank had lived in Beaumont for over sixty years and was a retired repairman with Southwestern Bell. He was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, LaWanda Ragsdale of Beaumont; sons, Keith Ragsdale and his wife Jewell and James Ragsdale and his wife Debbie all of Beaumont; daughter, Rhonda Storey and her husband Mark of Beaumont; eight grandchildren, Dustin Ragsdale, Brittney Ragsdale, Kirstin Ragsdale, Brayden Ragsdale, Caleb Ragsdale, Kealy Ragsdale, Brandon Storey and Bryce Storey; sister-in-law, Elma Gibson of Beaumont; and nieces, Rena Renefro, Imogene Miller and Geraldine Goatz all of Brownwood.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Broussard’s
