Albre "Llew" Llewellyn Hall

Albre “Llew” Llewellyn (Campbell) Hall, 94, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, surrounded by her family at home. She was born on October 3, 1916, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late Southern Frierson Campbell and Albre Watson Campbell.
On December 30, 1944, Llew married 1st Lieutenant B.C. Hall of Beaumont, who was stationed at Florence Army Air Field during World War II. After the Korean War, the Halls returned to Beaumont, where B.C. was employed as a chemist for Sun Oil Company. Llew was active in the PTA at South Park, a Blue Bird leader, a member of a square dance club, and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Beaumont. She loved music, singing and dancing, enjoyed people and was happiest at the beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Alice Ballard of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and brother, Southern Frierson Campbell, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina.
Llew is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Buford Calvin Hall of Beaumont; son, Ronald Eric Hall of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter, Albre Patricia Cheshire and her husband Wayne of Kountze; four grandchildren, Jennifer Shepherd and her husband Greg of Diboll, Jason Cheshire and his wife Cara of Lumberton, Sean Cheshire and his wife Iris of Katy and Amber Dupree and her husband Shane of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to her care giver, Dauris Brooks and to River City Hospice.
Her memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Broussard’s. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.
