Joseph “Jay” Amos LeBoeuf, Jr., 57, of Lumberton, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at his residence. He was born April 16, 1953, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Hilda Degeyter and Joseph Amos LeBoeuf, Sr.. He worked for Exxon Mobil for twenty-nine years, where he served as a safety inspector.
Jay is survived by his wife, Glynda Elizabeth Gibbs LeBoeuf; children, Jacqueline Lindsey LeBoeuf Neel and her husband Bradley of Fort Worth; Stephanie Lauren LeBoeuf and her fiancé Richard Alexander Vasquez of Silsbee; granddaughter, Regan Elizabeth Shannon; brother, David Lyn LeBoeuf of Houston; sisters, Germaine Bivens of Kentucky, Janice Lawrence and her husband Mike of Houston, Mary Louise LeBoeuf of Sam Rayburn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Gretchen Elizabeth Martin-Graham; parents; and father in law.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
Jay will be remembered as someone who would always greet you with a smile. He was a humble, quiet man who never complained; but, took care of matters when they arose. He loved his family, sports and golf and was a good friend to those that were close to him.
