Thomas Kelly Hemby, 86, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Gulf Health Care in Port Arthur.   He was born February 12, 1924 in Logan, Texas to John and Lula Hemby and was a resident of Nederland. Mr. Hemby was a United States Army veteran and retired after thirty years of service with Texaco Refinery. He was dearly loved by his family and everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.   He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years Lois; daughters, Glenda Burke and her husband Kerry and Diana Lindsay and her husband Roger Sr., three grandsons, Roger Lindsay Jr. and his wife Janna, John Colville and his wife Kristina and Shawn Burke and his wife Kelly; eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; three sisters, Talmadge and husband Kyler, Billie Sue and Verlon; and brother J.W. Hemby and his wife Anne. We wish to thank the staff at Gulf Health Care Center and Compassionate Care Hospice for the excellent level of support and care extended to our family.   His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 18, 2010 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland with Reverend Will Agy officiating, followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Broussard’s.   A memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 700 North Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
