Rex Tynes, 69, of Vidor, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Orange.
Rex was born December 20, 1940, in Lubbock, to Charlee Moore and Rex A. Tynes. He retired as an electronics technician, and was a United States Army veteran. He was a 3rd degree Mason.
He is survived by with wife of twenty-nine years, Joan Tynes of Vidor; son, Reverend George Parrish of Atmore, Alabama; daughters, Cheridan Roberts and her husband Shannon of Vidor and Cecily Tynes of Dallas; grandchildren, Stephanie Roberts, Morgan Roberts, Kristen Whitehead, Jon Parrish, Gage Tynes and Caleb Tynes; and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Northwood Christian Church, 5050 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont.
