Steve Boyd, 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in San Antonio. He was born June 29, 1946, to Dorothy Mae South Woodard and Jolly Boyd, in Cooper, Texas. He was among of the first graduating class of Forest Park High School in 1964, and then attended Lamar University. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill Boyd Golden and her husband Joe Alan of San Antonio; grandchildren, Grayson Collier Golden and Abby Leigh Golden of San Antonio; sister, Joy Boyd Goodale and her husband David of Beaumont; nephew, Boyd Byers of Lafayette, Louisiana; and niece, Gayla Byers Doucet of Beaumont.
His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Broussard’s.
