Mary Naomi Kemp Martin, 89, of Beaumont, died Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was born in Sour Lake on July 31, 1921, to Mary Magdeline Warren and Andrew Newton Copeland. Mary was a retired Avon sales representative with fifty years of service.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Kemp and his wife Mary of Lumberton, and Billy Jack Kemp of Bridge City; daughter, Linda Cline and her husband Don of Brookeland, Texas; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Buddy Copeland; and sister, Glenda Ann Hunter and her husband Robert all of Sour Lake.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ray W. Kemp and then Wilbur Martin; two brothers; and one sister.
Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2010, at Broussard’s.
