Joseph “Joe” H. Jones, 79, of Beaumont, died Friday, October 1, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Born January 29, 1931, in St. Joe, Michigan to Martha and Ogden Jones, Joe had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1980. He retired after forty years in the retail business and later helped part time at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. Joe was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jones of Beaumont; two daughters, Vonda Flanagan and her husband John of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Ronda Jones and her special friend Billy Braneff of Beaumont; grandchildren, Charles Venable, Chris Stanley, David Flanagan and Benjamin Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Kessa Venable and Caden Venable; and brother, Donald Jones and his wife Ida of Tucson, Arizona.
Cremation arrangements were handled under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
