Jimmie Nell Gaugh Gant

Jimmie Nell Gaugh Gant, 77 of Nederland died Friday, September 3, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, September 6, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland Don Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-9:00 PM, Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Broussard’s.

Mrs. Gant was a native of Kelly, Louisiana and has lived in Nederland since 1942. She had many careers including working for the draft board, civil service, burial insurance with Broussard’s mortuary and was bingo cashier for twenty four years. Mrs. Gant was a charter member and also past madam president and ladies auxiliary of the FOE 3743 of Port Neches and Order of the Eastern Star in Nederland.

Mrs. Gant was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Bernice Gaugh, husband, Jeff Gant; son, Allen Gant and her sister, Juanita Gaugh Gilson. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Pugh and her husband Todd of Nederland; two brothers, Curtis Gaugh and his wife Wilma of Groves, Danny Gaugh and his wife Donna of Nederland; two grandchildren, Jill Pugh Forsmo and her husband Colin of Nederland, Allicia Pugh of Nederland and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and an amazing friend and brother-in-law, Ross Gant of Nederland.
