Aletha Joy Longacre
April 4, 1922 - April 1, 2010

Aletha Joy Longacre, 87, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at her home.  Before moving to Beaumont with their daughter, Joy and her late husband Chester celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage. They loved to golf, play bridge and restore antiques.  Joy and her husband traveled the world while he was working for Mobil Oil and had lived in seven different countries.

Joy loved life.  She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and a treasured friend.  Joy loved to see God’s work with a beautiful sunset.

Survivors include her dog, Maxi; daughter, Beverly Lombardo and her husband Orval of Beaumont; son, Phillip Murray Longacre and his wife Dieu of Hawaii; grandchildren, Jason Longacre and Patrick Dunnigan.

 A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
