Mary Lewis McNeely, 93, of Kountze, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Mary was born in Vidor, Texas on April 1, 1916, to Adolphus and Nancy Richardson and lived in Kountze all her life where she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Ellis E. McNeely and his wife Eugena of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jo Ann Walker and her husband Bill of El Paso, and Marietta Blair of Kountze; grandchildren, Patrick McNeely, Ellis “Rusty” McNeely, Sonia Koutros, Billy Walker, Kieth Walker, Julie Sturm, Shari Powell, and Heather McNeely; sixteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Richardson of Kountze.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Ellis V. McNeely.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at McKinney Family Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 13, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
