Byron
Alan O’Quinn, 32, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Baptist
Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on October 18, 1984, to
Cheryl Ann Jardell and Tracy Alan O’Quinn, and had been a lifelong resident of
Beaumont. Byron was a graduate of Lamar University with a degree in Liberal
Arts. He was a graphic designer with Cotton Cargo for nine years. Byron was an
accomplished Potter and left behind a legacy of beautiful pottery.
He
was an avid enthusiast in the Texas Renaissance Festival near Spring and was
honored being named an Ambassador of the TRF. Byron was also involved in the
Sherwood Forest Renaissance Festival near Austin and created a very precise map
that was the depiction of the grounds of Sherwood Forest. He lovingly belonged
to a clan named “The Medieval Band of Moo”. He felt a kinship with his fellow
members, whom he considered family. We are grateful for the outpouring of love
and support from all friends and family. He touched so many lives with an open
heart. He will be missed for his love, thoughtfulness, and his quick wit.
He
is survived by his father, Tracy O’Quinn; and mother, Cheryl Ann O’Quinn, both
of Beaumont; aunts, Judy Noble of Beaumont and Lynn Moroux and her husband,
Greg, of Lafayette, Louisiana; uncles, Paul Jardell and his wife, Susan, of
Houston; John Jardell and his wife, Cathy, of San Diego, California; and Tom
