Michael Frank Dugas, 68, of
Beaumont, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at Beaumont Health Care Center,
Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was born on January
3, 1948, to Edith Deqeant Dugas and Alcee Dugas, and was a veteran of the United
States Army.
An avid fisherman, he loved his lake
house where he settled after retirement from Mobil Oil to live out his dream
living on Lake Livingston. He also loved playing Dominos with family and
friends when he wasn't fishing. He was a loving father, very proud of his son
Cimarron and all his accomplishments, and for giving him two beautiful
Grandchildren. He also was a great friend never meeting a stranger.
Survivors include his son, Cimarron
Dugas and his wife, Laura, of Red River, New Mexico; grandchildren, Jakob Alton Dugas and Avalon Dane Dugas; sisters-in-law, Kelley Dugas of Conroe and Stacy Bryce and
her husband, Tony, of Beaumont; nephews, Trent Dugas; Denver Parks Dugas, Devin
Lee Dugas, A.J. Bryce, and Joshua Bryce; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his
parents and brothers, Alcee “Rocky” Dugas, and Alton Lee Dugas, Denver Joseph
Parks.
A gathering of Mr. Dugas’ family and
friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 2:00
p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
