Margie Roccaforte

Margie Roccaforte, 87, of Nederland, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was born on September 12, 1929, in Welsh, Louisiana, to Beulah McMannis and Claude Hart.

Margie was a retired registered nurse. She worked many years at St. Mary’s Hospital, followed by many years of Home Health Nursing.

Survivors include her sister, Peggy New and her husband, Charles, of La Place, Louisiana; children, Debbie Wilson and her husband, John, of Dallas, George Roccaforte, Jr. and his husband, James Hall, of Houston, Ruth Van Schoubroek and her husband, Jerry, of Nederland, Theresa Franz and her husband, Terry, of Buna, and David Roccaforte and his wife, Carla, of Mesquite; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, George Roccaforte, Sr.

A gathering of Mrs. Roccaforte’s family and friends will be 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
