James "Bob" Robert Staton
September 15, 1919 - November 1, 2016
James Robert “Bob” Staton, 97, of Beaumont, passed
away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He was born on September 15, 1919, in
Nicholasville, Kentucky, to Allie Stewart and Dr. James Bernard Staton, and was
a longtime resident of Beaumont. He served active duty in WWII as a Marine. Bob
retired from Trotti & Thompson (now APAC) as a civil engineer.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy
Chiuminatto Staton.
Survivors include his daughters Janice Blakey and
her husband, Steve, of Spring Branch; Peggy Bailey and her husband, Jeff, of
Beaumont; Mary Fran Fox and her husband, Randy, of Silsbee; and Jamie Broussard
and her husband, Ben, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Charisse Crochet and her
husband, Coy; Heather Taylor; Lauren Bailey; Jamie Bailey; Kaitlyn Bailey; Kathleen
Broussard; Ross Broussard; and Alyssa Blakey; and great-grandchildren, Corley
Crochet, Camdyn Crochet, and Staton Taylor.
A private committal was held at Broussard’s of Beaumont.
