Cecil "Joe" Joseph Melancon

Cecil Joseph “Joe” Melancon, 87, of Fred, died Sunday,
October 23, 2016. He was born on August 11, 1929, in Port Arthur, to Amanda Primeaux and Sydney
Joseph Melancon. He was a laboratory supervisor for DuPont Company.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Melancon of Fred; sons,
Richard Melancon and his wife, Gail, of Austin; and Terry Melancon and his
wife, Mary, of Fred; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother,
Joseph Melancon of Crosby; and sister, Pat Melancon of Houston. He is preceded in
death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Melancon’s family and friends will
be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016,
at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Franks Branch
Cemetery, Fred.
