Shirley
Ann Blanchard, 86, of China, died Saturday, October 22, 2016. She was born on
December, 31, 1929, in Carrollton, Missouri, to Beatrice Hahn Van Cleave and
Joseph Van Cleave, and had been a longtime resident of China. Shirley retired from Howard Johnson Hotel as
a clerk.
She
is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, John Morris Blanchard, of China;
son, Scott Carriker and his wife, Jude, of Dickinson; daughters, Dee Champion,
of Buna; Gina Jamieson and her husband, Patrick, of Katy; Whitney Ann Megarity;
Marie Lewis and her husband, Kevin; and Paula McCarble and her husband, Mark,
all of China; and Alice Blanchard, daughter of Mom’s heart; grandchildren,
Heather Champion and Ben Miller; Stefanie Champion; Ashley Walker and her
husband Neil; Anne Krienke and her husband, Kyle; David Carriker; Brett Taylor
Megarity Koch; Morgan Martel; John Carl (JC) Lewis and his wife, Charissa;
Britney Wybel and her husband, Dusty; Brody Lewis; Megan Taylor and her
husband, Wesley; Mason McCarble; great-grandchildren, Kiersten Perez, Zoey
Danos, Owen Perez, James Walker, Lily Walker, Aaron Walker, Alexander Krienke,
Landen Krienke, Jackson Lewis, Cambrie Lewis (coming soon in November), Keely
Wyble, Remington Wyble, Camden Wyble, Hudson Taylor, Jude Taylor (in heaven
with mawmaw), and twins, Samuel and Elaine Taylor (joining the family in
January); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A
Rosary for Mrs. Blanchard’s will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with her gathering to
follow until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00
a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245
Highway 90 West, China, with her interment to follow at China Cemetery.
