James Alvin Mutters

James Alvin Mutters, 77, of
Silsbee, died Sunday, October 16, 2016.
He was born on April 26, 1939, in San
Antonio, to Alma Callie Hibdon Mutters and James
Mutters. James served his country in the
United States Air Force and later worked in maintenance.
Survivors include his children,
Frances Stephens and her husband, Howard Bobbitt, of Pasadena; James Alvin Mutters, Jr. and his
wife, Minlin, of Spring Branch; Shawn Mutters of Pineland; Kyle Mutters of
Broaddus; and Melanie Medrano and her husband, Ruben, of Pasadena; eighteen
grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorena McWhorter of Big
Springs and Mary Grace Hobbs of Kentucky; and brother, Frank Mutters of
Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his
parents; wife, Karen Wells Mutters; two grandsons; and a granddaughter.
Mr. Mutters’ committal was
handled by Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
