E. Bruce Martin, 91, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was born on May 20, 1925, in Borden, Indiana. Bruce graduated from Borden High School in May of 1943 and later enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served during World War II as a B-29 Navigator, and was recalled to active duty in 1951, to serve in the Korean War.

Bruce was an Engineering Supervisor for DuPont, retiring from Beaumont Works with over thirty-eight years service. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, serving many years as an Elder or Deacon.

Bruce is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of seventy-one years, Selma; daughter, Kimberly Martin Walker, of Pearland; granddaughter, Courtney Camp, of Clear Lake; niece, Stacey Carver, of Memphis, Indiana; and great-nephew, Cody Carver, of Borden, Indiana.

A gathering of Mr. Martin's family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., with his memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2016, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont. His ennichement will follow at The Memorial Garden at St. Andrew’s, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church- Memorial Fund, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or to an organization of one's choice.
