Jeremiah Batista
May 18, 1978 - September 22, 2016
Jeremiah
Batista, 38, of Beaumont, died Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born in
Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Rosa and Tony Batista. Jeremiah worked as a HR
consultant for most of his life, but recently spent time working on the beautiful
beaches of the Dominican Republic.
Jeremiah
was a loving, compassionate, thoughtful, honest, and kind person. His whole
life he was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the type of person
who always had a smile on his face and would give you the shirt off his back.
Jeremiah was outgoing and fun to be around. He had a special ability to form an
instant bond with the people he met. Jeremiah’s friends call him the most
humble, caring, and kind person they had ever met. His nieces and nephews say
that he was the best uncle they could has for because he would buy them things,
take them places, and make them feel special. Jeremiah was the youngest of the
Batista family and was the light of their household. His mother says as a kid
he was a prankster and class clown and says he was so cute that everyone would
give in to his jokes. Jeremiah made his parents proud. He touched many lives
and we all look forward to a time when we will see him again. (John 5:28,29).
He
is survived by his mother, Rosa Batista; and father, Tony Batista, both of
Beaumont; brothers, Everts Batista and his wife, Sandra, of Houston and Jehu
Batista and his wife, Carolina, of Beaumont; nephews, Caleb Batista and Jayden
Batista; niece, Ariana Batista; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A
gathering of Mr. Batista’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at
