Kathy Marie Hobbs Hay
May 2, 1959 - September 26, 2016
Kathy Marie Hobbs Hay passed away Monday, September 26 2016. After winning her battle against Leukemia,
she unfortunately was sent to be with her Lord from the effects of the
treatment. Her courageous battle inspired many.
We were never certain about her fate here on earth, but we were always
confident in God’s blessing and grace.
Kathy was born to the late Alan and Edith Hobbs in Honolulu Hawaii. As
we all know she attended Texas A&M, graduating in 1983. She taught in Porter, Spring, and Beaumont,
and touched many lives. Her time at Ogden Elementary was the most challenging,
but she reached many children in need. She always called her time at All-Saints
as her gift from God. Her legacy lives
on in her students.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Carl, Kurt, and
June; siblings, Donald and Janna Hobbs, Paul and Tina Hobbs, Kelly Hay and
Susan Saniei; mother-in-law, Anna Hay; and the younger crowd, Doc and Chelsea,
Danielle, Macy, Tripp, Hayes, Daja, and Jade.
She was welcomed in Heaven by her grandparents; parents, Alan and Edith
Hobbs; father-in-law, Wayne Hay, brother-in-law Steven Hay, and a multitude of
friends and family.
A gathering of Mrs. Hay’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m.
until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major
Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September
28, 2016, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
