Carolyn Ann Collins, 72, of
Lumberton, died Thursday, September 8, 2016. She was born on October 9,
1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana,
to Margaret Whitman Watts and Jack Watts. Mrs. Collins was known as “Mom”
to many children and a mother to numerous more.
Survivors include her
children, Julie Sealy and her husband, Donald, of Silsbee; Deana Collins of
Lumberton; Alena Collins of Beaumont; Sam Collins and his wife, Joni, of
Lumberton; and Vernon Collins and his wife, Erin of Silsbee and Ricky Collins
of Silsbee; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings,
Gloria Loden of Mesquite; Susan Woodall and her husband, Larry, of Lumberton;
and Elena Hope of Mineola; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is
preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Gregory Brock Collins.
A gathering of Mrs. Collins’
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September
10, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service
will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Broussard’s, with her
interment to follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Park, Silsbee.
