Sudie Macle Bailey

Sudie Macle Bailey, 93, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016.  She was born on August 28, 1923, in Polk County, to Octavia Murphy Baxter and Samuel Baxter.  Mrs. Bailey retired as a legal secretary and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Silsbee.

Survivors include her husband, L.C. Bailey; children, Dale Bailey of Sour Lake and Patricia Bailey of Silsbee; grandson, Andy Bailey and his wife, Candice, of Katy; granddaughter, Tammy McDonald of Lewisville; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Keegan Bailey, Zachery and James McDonald, and Tiffany Looper; brother, Dick Baxter and his wife, Betty, of Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

A gathering of Mrs. Bailey’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at First Pentecostal Church, 1403 North 5th Street, Silsbee, with her interment to follow at Holly Grove Cemetery, Holly Grove, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
