Gertha Ellen Blaisdell

Gertha Ellen Tucker Blaisdell, 96, of Lumberton, died Saturday, August 27, 2016. She was born on September 22, 1919, in Manning, Texas, to Melvina Oliver and Ivan Lee Tucker.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Ann Holland and her husband, Henry; Gertha Fay White; Bertha May Lanier; and Obert Frank Blaisdell and his wife, Donna, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Michael Lee Cook; Richard Wayne Holland and his wife, Ann; Dwaine Parks and his wife, Jackie; Terry Ilene Stephenson and her husband, Richard; Kimberly Rene` Denton and her husband, J.R.; and Barry Blaisdell and his wife, Michelle; great-grandchildren, Anthony Parks, Lauren Holland, Ashlyn Parks, Will Holland, Ciara Blaisdell, Colin Denton, Carson Denton, and Gunnar Blaisdell; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was greeted at Heaven’s gates by her parents; husband, Herman Frank Blaisdell; brothers, Claude Tucker and Earl Tucker; and sister, Courtney Tucker. What a glorious time they must be having.

A gathering of Mrs. Blaisdell’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Allison Cemetery, Warren.
