George Dean McClelland

George Dean McClelland, 64, of Sour Lake, Texas, died Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was born on April 27, 1952, to Rose Marilyn Dean McClelland and George Edward McClelland, in Port Arthur, Texas. Dean retired from Exxon Mobil in 2013 after thirty-five years.

 

Survivors include his mother, Rose Marilyn McClelland of Beaumont; wife, Rhonda McClelland of Sour Lake; daughters, Molly McClelland and her fiancé, Jimmy Arnold, of Sour Lake and Katy McClelland and her fiancé, Dave Kenner, of Beaumont; sisters, Megan Kuykendall and her husband, Clay, of Sour Lake; Cay Granger and her husband, Terry, of Beaumont; Laura Price and her husband, Eric, of Cypress; and Claire Dotson and her husband, Don, of Houston; brothers, Chris McClelland and his wife, Kelly; Brian McClelland and his wife, Michelle; and Mark McClelland and his wife, Jannai, all of Beaumont; grandson, Matthew Dean McClelland; and a host of beloved family and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, George McClelland and sister, Elizabeth McClelland.

 

A gathering of Mr. McClelland’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 225 West Barkley, Sour Lake. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, Texas.
