Dessie Orene Crouch McBride, 88, of Kingwood, died Sunday,
August 14, 2016, at Silverado Senior Living – Kingwood. She was born on October
27, 1927, in Wickett, Texas to Edna Victoria Waddill and Wyley
Washington Johnston.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Crouch Hurt and her
husband, John, of Houston; Kim Crouch Houser and her husband, Dale, of Huffman;
and Julie Crouch Lang and her husband, Corry, of Kingwood; grandchildren, Jeb
Hurt and his wife, Natasha, Trevor Hurt, Kaley Houser, Hunter Houser, Kelsey
Lally, Cammy Lang, and Nick Lang; great-grandchild, Carson Hurt; siblings, Nell
Brock, Bob Johnston, and Charlie Johnston and his wife, Connie; special family
friend, Angie Svetlik; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wynona
Kelley.
A gathering of Ms. McBride’s family and friends will
be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016,
at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery,
Silsbee.
