Myrtle Frances Landolt, 89, of
Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was born on September 10, 1926, in Sherman, to Martha Emma
Gordon Livingston and John Peter Livingston.
Mrs. Landolt was a 1944 graduate of
Sherman High
School and attended East
Texas State
Teachers College which is now known as
University of Texas at Commerce. She had worked as a bookkeeper for her
husband’s company, Landolt Oil Company, for over thirty years. She had been an active member of the Silsbee
Woman’s Club, Silsbee Garden Club, Texas Gamma Epsilon Beta Sigma Phi, and a
lifetime honorary member of Thyme for Herbs Society. Mrs. Landolt and her husband were charter
members of the First Presbyterian Church in Silsbee.
Survivors include her daughters,
Emily Baize and Nancy Landolt, both of Beaumont; and nephew, Peter Livingston
and his wife, Mary, of Dallas. She is preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Charles Edward “Pete” Landolt, Jr.; and brother, John Livingston, Jr.
Mrs. Landolt’s memorial service
will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church,
845 Highway 96 South, Silsbee, with a reception at 3:00 p.m., in the Fellowship
Hall. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

The family would like to express
their gratitude to a special person, Martha Smith, who was Mrs. Landolt’s
caregiver for over ten years, and the nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice for
their exceptional kindness and care.
