Wanda Cathey Bryce

Wanda Cathey Bryce, 75, of Winnie, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was born on May 15, 1941, in Dalhart, to Robbie Katherine Marriott Cathey and Floyd Everett Cathey.  

Survivors include sons, Lonnie Bryce and his wife, Kris, of Anahuac; Gary Bryce of Winnie; daughter, Marsha Matthews and her husband, Mason, of Winnie; grandchildren, Lani Hasson, Brian Bryce, Katherine Matthews and Dakota Matthews; great grandchildren, Tyler Hasson, Jayce Hasson, Brayden Davis, and Emery Bryce; brothers, Paul Cathey, Allen Cathey; sister, Nancy Carter and her husband, John; step-sisters, Naomi Smith and Jean Phelps; step-brothers, Richard Bryce and his wife, Marilyn; Roger Bryce and his wife, Bonnie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Lonnie Earl Bryce; brothers, Clovis Cathey and Kenneth Cathey; sisters, Joy Shelton and Mary Jean Sherrill; step-brother, George Bryce; step-sister, Ruby Ellen Barrett and Faye Kunefke.

A gathering of Mrs. Bryce’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
