Joyce Marie Hatcher

Joyce Marie Hatcher, 73, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Christus Hospital – St. Elizabeth. She was born on October 5, 1942, in Church Point, Louisiana, to Gladys Nelams Huckaby Mechna and Hugh Huckaby.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Hatcher of Sour Lake; brother, Charles Huckaby of Port Neches; children, Carol Perry and her husband, Ronnie; Buddy Hatcher and his wife, Rhysa; and Debra Cash and her husband, Buddy, all of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Shannon Collins, Dalton Collins, Brandi Rilea, Brittnay Hatcher, Lacy Vosburgh, and BryanKodee Hatcher; stepgrandchildren, Kassi Glaze, Tisha Salter, Kalena Burch, and D.J. Collins; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, E.J. Huckaby.

A gathering of Mrs. Hatcher’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Sour Lake.
