Agnes Johnson

Agnes Johnson, 91, of Winnie, died Friday, July 29, 2016 at The Arboretum of Winnie. She was born November 27, 1924, in Port Arthur, to Anastasia “Tazie” Bouillion Henry and Ambrose Henry. Agnes had been a longtime resident of the Winnie area, having retired from East Chambers cafeteria. After retirement, she was the owner and operator of  a resale shop at her home.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by grandson, Christopher Brown, of Pennsylvania; sisters, Doris Sonnier and her husband, Lilton, of Winnie; and Shirley Rutherford, of Nederland; numerous nieces; nephews; and a host of other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of thirty-seven years, Ted Johnson; sister, Dorothy Cimino; brothers, Thomas Henry and Joseph Ray Henry.

A gathering of Mrs. Johnson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016, with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer  Drive, Winnie . Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
