Jo Ann Rogers,
79, of Nederland, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016. She was born on November 12,
1936, in Pineland, to Nan Hunt Lawson and James Winston Lawson.
Jo Ann was the
owner of Rogers Auto Parts in Nederland. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and
cooking, especially for the holidays.
Survivors
include her husband, James Rogers of Nederland; daughter, Rebecca Powell and
her husband, Tim, of Beaumont; granddaughters, Amanda Powell of Beaumont and
Katherine Powell of Nederland; great-grandson, Nicolai Gannon of Beaumont; and
brothers, Jim Lawson of Elgin and John Lawson of Houston. She was preceded in
death by her parents.
A gathering of
Mrs. Rogers’ family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at
2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of
Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
