Joys
Emmett "Buster" Shelburne, Jr., 64, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at
Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of
Beaumont, he was born May 4, 1952, to Irene Goins and Joys Emmett Shelburne,
Sr. Joys was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors
include his father, Chick Shelburne of Lumberton; son, Scooter Shelburne and
his wife, Jeri, of Beaumont; brother, Bill Shelburne and his wife, Vera, of
Beaumont; grandchildren, Hailey, Alora, Harley, and Joy Shelburne, and Brian
Brown; and lifelong friend, Tina Potter.
A
gathering of Mr. Shelburne’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016, at
Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
