James Marion Stringer, Sr.

James Marion Stringer, Sr., 73,
of Evadale, died Friday, July 22, 2016.
He was born on August 25, 1942, in Vidor, to Annie Mae Merriman Stringer
and Jason J. Stringer. James proudly
served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era and later retired from
Mead Westvaco Paper Mill in Evadale.
Survivors include his wife,
Charlene Stringer; son, James Stringer, Jr. of Evadale; grandson, Malcom Craig
Stringer of Beaumont; brother, Millard Warren Stringer and his wife, Sue, and
sister, Elisabeth Ann Sims, all of Evadale; numerous nieces and nephews; and
several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jason J. Stringer,
Jr.
A gathering of Mr. Stringer’s
family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24,
2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016, at
Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park,
Silsbee.
