Andrew "Peanut" Rivers

Andrew “Peanut” Rivers, 88, of Silsbee, died Friday, July
15, 2016. He was born on February 8, 1928, in Many, Louisiana, to Patricia and Joseph Rivers. He
was a retired consultant for Mitchell Energy.
Survivors include his daughter, Gail Young and her husband,
Scott, of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Dillon Young of Flower Mound; Andy
Bailey and his wife, Candice, of Katy; great-grandchildren, Nolan Bailey;
Keegan Bailey; and sister, Clara Garcia of Zwolle, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Opal Rivers;
brothers, Melvin Rivers, Joe Rivers, Gene Rivers, Fred Garcia; and sister, Mary
Jane Garcia.
A gathering of Mr. Rivers’ family and friends will be
from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at First Pentecostal
Church, 1420 North 5th Street, Silsbee,
with interment to follow at R.S.
Farmer Memorial
Cemetery, Silsbee.
