Diane Adkisson Grimes
August 4, 1953 - July 15, 2016
Diane
Adkisson Grimes, 62, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2016. Born and raised in Beaumont, she was a wife,
mother, grandmother, and devout Christian.
Diane
was a 1971 graduate of Forest Park High School and attended Lamar University.
She faithfully attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was a member
of Calvary Baptist Church. During her younger years, Diane loved the beach and frequently
spent time at her parent’s beach cabin.
She also loved to shop, work crossword puzzles, coin collect, play
tennis, and travel with her family. Diane
went on mission trips to Africa and China to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ
and fulfill The Great Commission.
Survivors
include her husband of forty-four years, Paul Grimes; daughters, Kimberly
Traylor and her husband, Scott and Kristi McDonald and her husband, Brian; and grandchildren,
Landon, Karlynn, Aubree, Lane, and Clara Rose Traylor and Finley and Fisher
McDonald, all of Beaumont.
Diane
is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Albert Adkisson.
Our

McGraw, Lori Laman, Charlotte Zomparelli, and Vicky Jimenez. In addition, a special thanks to Senior
Preferred Home Health and Harbor Hospice.
A
gathering of Mrs. Grimes’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Amelia
Baptist Church, 8055 Brighton Street, Beaumont, with her entombment to follow
at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
