Judith “Judy” Marie Danna,
72, of Vidor, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2016, at Christus Hospital St.
Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was the second child of eight children and
oldest daughter born on December 21, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas to Gertrude and
Frank P. Danna, Jr.
Judy was a dedicated
Catholic, attending and graduating St Anthony High School. She was
employed in the medical field for 35 years until she retired due to health
issues. Judy had a great desire for making things and giving them away to
family and friends. She was an artist of many mediums, following in her
mother’s footsteps, from crocheting to sewing and painting. She also
loved to put puzzles together and listen to music. She liked to cook and
always had a pot of coffee on when a visitor happened to stop by. Judy
loved to talk. She was very witty and kept up on many current events.
She had a very warm, special relationship with all of her siblings that will be
missed greatly. From young to old, all knew Judy would be there when she
could to lend a helping hand.
Judy touched many lives with
her caring and giving nature, most of all her son, Daniel. He was her
greatest joy in life.
Judy is preceded in death by
her parents, Gertrude and Frank P. Danna Jr.; and niece, April Danna.
Survivors include her
brother, Frank P. Danna and his wife, Glenda of Lufkin; brother, Milton Danna
and his wife, Cinda of Jasper; brother, Michael Danna and his wife, Rene of
LaBelle; brother, John Danna and his wife, Connie of Kountze; sister, Clara
Downs and her husband, Brad of Vidor; brother, Carmello Danna and his wife,
Geneva of Lumberton; and brother, Carlo Danna and his wife, Linda of Bridge
City; numerous nieces, nephews, and other
loving and caring family members and faithful friends.
