Karan K. Leach,
66, of Port Acres, died Thursday, June 30, 2016. She was born on April 6, 1950,
in Moscow, Idaho, to Marian Esther Deesten Schultz and Allen Murl Schultz.
Karan retired as a
sales representative from Trinity Industries. When she became ill, she began
making candles, and homemade soaps. Karan enjoyed knitting and playing Bingo.
Survivors include
her husband of twenty-seven years, Gary Leach of Port Acres; son, Douglas Michael Schultz of Port
Acres; daughter, Kelly Webster and her husband, Jay, of Lumberton;
grandchildren, Bryce, Brandon, Charis, and Audrey Schultz and Grant Webster;
sister, Janice Deesten and her husband, Kelly Klem, of Miles City, Montana;
aunt and godmother, Betty Deesten of Spokane, Washington; uncle, Wayne Schultz
of Lewiston, Idaho; brothers-in-law, James Leach and his wife, Paula, of Manvel and David Leach of Nederland; sister-in-law, Joyce Gullickson and her husband, Mike of Georgetown; nieces, Tera Decker of Billings, Montana; Lindsay Leach of Pearland; and Jamie Cureton-Kennedy of Austin; nephew, Christian Leach of Pearland; and her bingo best friend, Dianne Hardy.
She was
preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of
Mrs. Leach’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday,
July 4, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her
funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Broussard’s. Her
cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium,
Beaumont.
