Jeanne Marie Burt, 82, of
Silsbee, died Thursday, June 30, 2016.
She was born on April 2, 1934, in Rayne,
Louisiana, to Racie Leger Darce
and Louis Darce. Jeanne worked as a bank
teller at various local banks.
Survivors include her husband,
James Burt; children, Vanessa Spurlock and her husband, Dan, of Silsbee and
Kevin Burt and his wife, Pam, of Port Neches; grandchildren, James Spurlock and
his wife, Ashley, of Woodville; Jennifer Armstrong and her husband, Andy, of
College Station; and Kevin Burt, Jr. and his wife, Lacy and Jessica Halter and
her husband, Ross, all of Port Neches; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Tex
Armstrong, both of College Station; Emma and Isaac Spurlock, both of Woodville;
and Emma and Bryson Halter, both of Port Neches; sister, Theresa Johnson and
her husband, Ivan, of Deer Park; niece, Monica Lewis; and nephews, Phillip
Johnson, Eric Johnson, and Michael Johnson, all of Deer Park. She is preceded
in death by her parents; and grandson, Tyler Burt.
A Rosary will be recited at 10:00
a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, followed by
her graveside service at 12:00 p.m., at Beech Creek
Cemetery, Spurger.
