Evelyn "Doosy" Theresa Guidry

Evelyn Theresa “Doosy”
Guidry, 85, of Richmond, died Sunday, June 26, 2016. She was born on January 8,
1931, in Rayne, Louisiana, to Annie Mae Bourque Guidry and Jean Cleveland
Guidry. Doosy graduated from Beaumont High School and went on to attend Lamar
University for a degree in Foreign Languages. She worked for Mobil Oil as an
office administrator for thirty-five years.
Doosy is survived by
her brother, Carl Guidry, of Beaumont; sister, Mildred Lalande, of Richmond;
nieces, Connie Perrard, of Pearland and Sherri Rinando, of Beaumont; nephews, Steve Guidry and Scott Guidry,
both of Beaumont; great-nieces, Amy Frank, Mae Guidry, Andrea Perrard, and Erin
Culp; great-nephews, Russell Perrard and Jack Guidry; and great-great-niece,
Jacqueline Farr. Special thanks to her
wonderful caregivers, Josie Powers and Lupe Cabazos.
A gathering of Ms. Guidry’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until
7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Broussard’s Chapel, 2000 McFaddin Avenue,
Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, at
Broussard’s Chapel, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to
follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
