Alan "Big Al" Brian Theobald

Alan Brian “Big Al”
Theobald, 59, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Sabine County Hospital in
Hemphill. He was born on January 18, 1957, in Beaumont, to Martha B. Theobald
and Fred C. Theobald, Jr.
Alan graduated from
Forest Park High School in May of 1975. He moved to Hemphill in 1994 and there
he met his wife of twenty-two years, Linda. Alan worked for many years as a
driller with Big E until health issues forced him into leaving his employment.
He loved to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Alan enjoyed
fishing and hunting in his spare time.
He will be remembered
and missed by his wife, Linda; children, Amanda Rice, Donnie Weaver, and Martha
Jackson; father, Fred C. Theobald, Jr.; siblings, Mark Theobald, Cindy
Johansen, and Renee Cole; and grandchildren, Alexis, Payton, Lacy, Rudy,
Rebecca, Remi, David Lee, and Farah.
Alan is preceded in
death by his mother, Martha Theobald; brother, Charles Theobald; and nephew, Ole
Johansen, Jr.
A gathering of Mr.
Theobald’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral
service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000
McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial
Park, Beaumont.
