Larry Gene White, 53,
of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, in Oakley, Kansas. He was on
his way back to work in North Dakota after a wonderful vacation with family,
seeing his newest grandson who was born June 3, and spending time with friends at his
35th year high school class reunion. Larry was kind and had a tender
heart filled with love for his family and friends. Larry was proud to work for
Beaumont’s Quality Mats for the past five years. He was a master carpenter and
loved building houses. Larry also loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, bike
riding, and enjoyed the beach and lakes. He also enjoyed dancing; he was an
excellent dancer.
Larry was a lifelong
resident of the Beaumont area. He attended Amelia Elementary, Vincent Middle
School, and Forest Park High School, graduating in 1981. For most of his
professional career, Larry was a master carpenter, building homes, apartments,
and offices all over the area. Most recently, he took a position with Quality
Mats of Beaumont at their North Dakota location. Larry loved North Dakota,
continuously sending pictures of the beautiful scenery and fishing holes he
found, to his family. He missed Texas but was taking full advantage of the newly
discovered landscape.
