Jimmy Dixon Cobb, Jr.

Jimmy  Dixon Cobb, Jr., 50, of Beaumont, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.  He was born on July 31, 1965, to Jean McGehee and Jimmy Cobb, and had been a long time resident of Beaumont. Jimmy was a United States Marine Corps veteran, and worked in telecommunications with Southwestern Bell.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Jean LaSalle and her husband, Leonard, of Beaumont; son, Marshall Cobb, of Beaumont; stepson, Austin Wells, of Austin; daughters, Meghan Cobb, of Beaumont and Amanda Cobb, of Buna; brother, Coy LaSalle and his wife, Lisa, of Beaumont; aunt, Kay Simmons, of Buna; uncle, Kenneth Cobb and his wife, Ellie, of LaGrange; and a host of other family members.

A gathering of Mr. Cobb’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Burial of Mr. Cobb’s cremated body will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2016, at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
