Edgar E. McAdams

Edgar E. McAdams, 78, of Winnie, died Thursday, June 17, 2016 in Beaumont. He was born on April 16, 1938, in Hobby, Texas to Rever Beatrice Starns and John P.McAdams, Sr. Edgar had been a resident of the Winnie area for seventy years.

In his earlier years, he was a cowboy, particularly with the J.T. White, Hamilton and Russell’s cattle Ranches. He loved to sing country music and play his guitar, at family gatherings and among friends. He was retired from the pipeline industry, as an inspector and welder.

Mr. McAdams is survived by brother, John P. McAdams, Jr., and his wife, LeBland, of Winnie; sister, Doris Spencer and her husband, Ronald, of Winnie; numerous nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald McAdams, Sr.; sisters, Lois Graham and Rosie Stifflemire.

A graveside service for Mr. McAdams will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Fairview Cemetery, 223 Cemetery Road, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie
