Jerald R. Phelps

Jerald R. Phelps, 83, of Winnie, died at his residence, Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was born on May 29, 1933, in Beaumont, to Mildred Silcox and Virgil Roy Phelps, and had been a longtime resident of the Winnie area.

Mr. Phelps is survived by his wife, Marion Bingham Phelps, of Winnie; daughters, Kathryn Smith, of Stephens, Arkansas; Cynthia Cox, of Kent, Washington; and Susan Wilkinson, of Beaumont; sons, Roy Phelps, of Lake Jackson; William Phelps, Jerry L. Phelps, John Phelps, Danny Phelps and Michael Phelps, all of Winnie; seventy-nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Phelps’ will be 7 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Calvary Tabernacle, 1210 FM 1406, Winnie. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
