Valdee Lloyd Weems, 68, of Wildwood, died Thursday, June 9,
2016, at Christus Hospital St.
Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on September 19, 1947,
in Henderson, to
Mary Read Weems and Elbert Lloyd Weems. Valdee worked as a mud engineer in the
oil field.
Survivors include his wife,
Carolyn “Susie” Weems of Wildwood; children, Valdee Weems, II of Wildwood, and
Sarah Mary Eloise Weems Brandin and her husband, Neal, of Kountze; grandchild,
Valerie Sage Weems of Wildwood; cousins, Monica Williford Cobb of Beaumont;
Jeremiah Woodford of Austin; sisters-in-law, Jeri Hyden of Vidor; Rae Moran of
Bridge City; Marguerite Jones of Beaumont; brother-in-law, John Stone II of
California; nephews, John Stone III and his wife, Danni, of California; Cody
Hyden of Vidor; Montie Claunch and his wife, Cheswah, of Vidor; neice, Zoe
Moran and her husband, Ron Bauer II, of Vidor; great-neice, Lilly Fay Hyden of
Vidor; great-nephews, Ron Bauer III, Michael Hyden, and William Hyden, all of
Vidor.
He is preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Ruby
Kelly Weems.
A gathering of Mr. Weems’ family
and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 10:00 a.m.,
Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Seventh Day Adventist
Church, 1898 CR 4755, Warren, Texas
77664. His interment will be at Salem Cemetery,
Wright City.
